Hello Everyone,
How is your Saturday night? Do you watch movies on Saturday night? What are your favorite movies? Today we heard a lot of great stories and movie references from our guests and members.
The meeting was led by our friendly Sergeant at Arm and Toastmasters of The Day, Boram Kang. Before the main session, we enjoyed Behind the Culture Speech (BTC) about "Indonesian Dancing" by our President, Azizah British.
These dances are Tari Srimpi (Java), Srikandi Dance (Java), Legong Dance (Bali), Piring Dance (Sumatera Barat), Ratoh Jaroe Dance (Aceh), Pajoge Dance (Bugis) Makassar, Ronggeng Dance Nyentrik, and Jaipong Dance.
The first sessions were led by Noor Mohammad, DTM as Table Topic Master (TTM). He presented insightful questions that let all speakers recognize and become more conscious of themselves.
There were 5 participants: Azizah British, Yusuf Chandra, DTM, Dwi Nazarudin, Amran Bin Aliamat, and Yosini Deliani. All table topic speakers received constructive feedback from Table Topic Evaluator (TTE) Leony Octavia.
In the prepared speech session, we have one speaker. Dian delivers her project level 4, managing a difficult audience. She shared her story of when she was involved with toxic positivity and how to overcome it by using S, W.O.T.S. This is an abbreviation of S (sweat), W (write), O (out), T (talk), and S (set boundaries). She was evaluated by Adarsh Chandran.
In educational speech sessions, we have Yusuf Chandra, DTM, as an educational speaker. He shared about “How to Evaluate Effectively”. It was lively and interactive, as many people were interested in learning how to become effective evaluators.
We received an insightful report from the general evaluator team—Adam Chen, and his team. The GE teams today are Bhavneet as a grammarian, Lim Ah Nee as ah-counter, Arnie as a timer, and Boram as a ballot counter. Special thanks to Bhavneet, who provided us with a lovely and beautiful handwritten grammar report.
Congratulations to all the winners:
