Hello Everyone,
The World Cup is one of the biggest events in 2022. All soccer fans around the world have been waiting for it. For months we have felt the euphoria of the event that took place this year in Qatar. So which team are you supporting? That's the theme we will discuss at today's meeting.
Here are several highlights of our meeting:
The opening was started by our VPE - DTM JJ who told a story about the upcoming World Cup final between teams Argentina and France. He bet with his friends which team will win. Followed by GE - Team. Carol, Alfin, Dwi, and Indah told us which team they support. Some choose France. Others choose Argentina as the winner this year. They also bet on which team will win the World Cup.
Carol, our first-timer general evaluator, leads the session thoughtfully. Although she seemed nervous at first, she did very well in the end. She works hard to provide insightful and detailed feedback for the meeting and the role-takers. Bravo, Carol
Table Topic Sessions with 6 Table topics speakers
This session was led by Sandar. This is also her first time as a table topic master. She prepared 8 questions to challenge our guests and members to expand their minds. The main topic questions were about happiness and euphoria. There are 6 people participating in the session She did well and conducted the sessions smoothly. Bravo Sandar.
Shwe sin told a story about simplicity in her life. She gave examples from her life and from some public figures. How a less complicated and simple life can make them happy. DTM JJ shares his opinion about happiness. He believes that true happiness does not come from outside but depends on ourselves. It depends on how we control our thoughts that make us happy or unhappy.
Alfin gave his unique perspective on money and happiness. In his opinion, money can bring euphoria, but whether someone can be happy or not is for them to decide. Arnie talks about some moments when she found happiness, including at Toastmasters. Sylvester shares his insight that there is no such thing as a perfect human being. They have their limitations, but also their uniqueness. DTM Noor shares his wisdom reminding us that our actions determine our destiny. And faith is important to keep our sanity.
Prepare Speeches & Evaluations
In this session, we have 3 speakers. Our first speaker, Dian, talks about her experience with her mentor. She encourages us to use the power of mentoring to maximize our growth in Toastmasters. Adarsh gave a speech on his new pathway. He uses his personal experiences to show the importance of using humor in our daily lives. Masyi shared her experience of writing a blog. She talked about how writing a blog can help us reflect and organize our thoughts. She also encourages us to write and read a lot.
We have 3 evaluators, DTM JJ, DTM Beechu & DTM Noor Mohammad. All evaluator gives constructive and valuable feedback. They also share some points that all speakers can improve to make their speeches better.
