Meeting Minutes

Good Day Everyone,

How was your breakfast today? Have you ever thought about how food can affect your energy and boost your creativity? In today's meeting we have a potluck as our theme. We chose a potluck because we believe that food can bring people closer together and unite the diversity between us.

Today's meeting was opened and conducted by our energetic President as Toastmaster of the Day, Azizah British. Before the meeting began, we received the news some of our role takers were unable to attend today's meeting. This meant that some of our members had to take on more than one role.

Fortunately, we have a guest and Toastmasters from other clubs who were not assigned a role. We received help from Jeffrey Teh, members of Kelab Pidato Bahasa in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Thanks to Toastmasters Lim Ah Nee for sharing TSL club invitation to Toastmasters Jeffrey.

First session, table topic led by our creative table topic master Azreen. She provides  some questions and pictures with various types of delicious foods. We have 5 table topic speakers. Yusuf Chandra, DTM, Mabel, Jeffrey, MJ and Adelia. This session was evaluated by our Table Topic Evaluator (TTE) Masyi, which provides beneficial feedback to all table topic speakers.

We have two speakers today. The first speaker is Priscilla Ting Pei Siang from Bintulu Speakers Club. The second speaker is Adarsh Chandran, our regular guest and very active Toastmasters from India. Priscilla was evaluated by our member Dian. And Adarsh evaluated by Mabel, member of Yangon Toastmasters club from Myanmar.

Priscilla shared her personal journey when she tried to step out of her comfort zone, try new possibilities and overcome challenges in life. Adarsh shared his journey in Toastmasters. How much his life has changed since joining Toastmasters: from a shy person to a talkative person who can't stop talking. Both speakers gave inspiring speeches with personal stories that can connect with many of us.

In the general evaluation sessions led by Jeffrey Teh as general evaluator (GE) and his teams. Adelia as grammarian, Azizah as ah counter and Angel as timer.

Today we have 12 attendees. There were 5 TSL members, some members from another club and some guests. It was good to see our guest MJ in our meeting after her visit last year.
