Hello everyone,
Today is the last day of 2022 and also our club year-end party. Are you ready to welcome the new year? What are the best lessons you learned this year? At today's meeting, we were delighted to hear many life lessons and inspiring stories from all guests and members.
The meeting starts at 10.00 AM KST and is opened by our club President, Azizah British. It's great to see her back at the meeting as she's been missing a few meetings lately due to her work training. As Toastmasters of the meeting (TOM), she explained Toastmaster's mission, the club, and today's theme using the TSL website.
Since today is a special club party, we decide to organize the meeting differently than usual. We held table topics and dancing competitions. All guests and members were curious and excited. They look stylish and stunning with their unique costumes, songs, dances, and personal stories.
We have 3 table topic sessions. These sessions are led by two Table Topic Masters. The first session (Team A) was led by DTM JJ with 6 participants. In the second session (Team B) led by TM Azizah with 7 participants. And in the last session, both teams take part and share their speech with their own unique dance.
First Table Topics Sessions (Team A)
DTM JJ, as table topic master asked all participants about their lessons learned from 2022. The first speaker, Azizah, shared the ups and downs she was experiencing in different areas of her life. Dwi said there will be many changes in life and technology and how important for us to adapt to them.
Adarsh tells how Toastmasters teach him many lessons. For example, smile more, focus on the audience, and finish some pathways in a short amount of time. Everything is possible if we want to work on it. Lada said that family is not always blood relatives, friends who support us can also be our family. She also encourages us to be brave and learn from our mistakes.
Siti shared her story when she was in hardship and the importance of a support system. She suggests trying something we can't do to improve our lives. Lim Ah Nee says even though she is still new in Toastmasters, she's learning a lot. How Toastmasters give her confidence to say yes more often to a new opportunity in her life.
Second Table Topics Sessions (Team B)
In this session, TM Azizah as Table Topic Master asks all the contestants about their resolution in 2023. A few questions were asked about the moment they want to remember and forget. The first speaker DTM JJ shared that he would like to raise the vibration of his energy and dropping away all lower energies. Increasing the frequency of good energy is important to making this planet a better place to live.
Dian shares some uncomfortable moments in 2022 that she wants to forget in 2023. DTM Noor shared some things that are very important in his life like family and health. For him, family is the basis of everything he does. Indah sings a song that reminds her of an important moment in her life. Shwe sin encourages us to see ourselves as lions. She also shares some of her plans to attend some district conferences in 2023.
Eleos was challenged by his friend to become a paid speaker next year. Mentoring others as well once he has achieved these goals. DTM Abhijit said he wants to spread more joy, make people laugh, and be a better speaker. He also said it's time to move on because we have already had enough sorrow in the last few years since the pandemic.
Third Table Topic Sessions (All Team + Dancing)
This is the funniest and rarest moment you can find at a club meeting. Here, all members and guests had the opportunity to share their creativity and ideas through their favorite music, songs, and dance moves. We hear different songs and music from various genres, generations, singers, and cultures. For example: Wednesday, Gangnam style, Taiji music, etc.
Lada has the most spectacular dance, costume, and speech messages. She dances with a hula hoop with a stunning dance move. A great message from Lada said: “The world is like a hula hoop. You can create whatever you want and become anything you want. Thank you for sharing your great message with us Lada.
It was an awesome meeting party. There is a combination of great music, legendary songs, amazing stories, spectacular dances, and lots of laughter. One of the best moments to end 2022.
Thank you to all guests and members who attended our year-end party today. Glad to have you all in our club and witness your spectacular dance and inspiring speech.
We have 15 people who attended the club meeting. There are 2 Table Topic Masters with a total of 14 participants in Table Topics Sessions.
