Meeting Minutes

Good day,

Having a Speech Marathon once in every 2 months or quarterly has become The Speaker’s lounge Toastmasters Club Culture. It’s a good opportunity to practice our speeches especially when preparing for speech contests.

We have two groups of seven each in today’s meeting. TM Azizah and DTM JJ took turns to swap their roles as Toastmaster of the Day and the Timer, as each of them belonged to different groups.

Right after the Group A speeches were done, the polling for the best speaker was launched to vote for the audience’s favourite Speaker from Group A. The same process was repeated for Group B and we had one winner from each group.

It was amazing to watch all the 14 fantastic speakers share their stories. The experience was someone that one cannot ask for more. It was like living on the edge of the moment. We even have our new guest Khunghee successfully delivering her first speech and it was amazing as she introduced her job with minute detail and we all engrossed in her speech, even myself really enjoyed her speech because how elaborately she explained her job role as a nurse. Wishing all the nurses in the hospitals to be just like her. It will be extraordinary.

TM Putu who delivered his speech project (having an interview session for applying to a job). He was being interviewed by TM Azizah. It looked TM Putu was all set and prepared to work in a new company, as his answers were spot on and impressive.

We also had a Yoga practitioner, TM Masyi who shared her Yoga experience when she observed that Shanti means Peace, and she in closing her speech by asking the audiences to do the yoga all together with her and say “Om Shanti”, was blissful.

TM Azizah from Group A and DTM JJ from Group B were chosen to the best speakers by the audience. Congratulations!

It was exceptional experience to enjoy all the speeches and it was our Saturday morning well spent. Thank you so much everyone who joined and participated in TSL Speech Marathon with Squid Game setting. It was our pleasure to have you all at the TSL Club Meetings and as always it would be our honor to have you all once again next time at our Saturday morning meetings.
